OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1991 by Gerald Hugh Paxman, Paxman Construction C.C. began its journey in the town of Empangeni, located on the north coast of Zululand. Built on a foundation of high-quality workmanship and ethical business practices, the company quickly earned a solid reputation in the local construction industry.

In 2004, Gerald’s son Michael John Paxman joined the company as a post-graduate, bringing fresh technical knowledge and reinforcing the family-led approach to business.

This combination of experience, technical skill, and strong leadership led to the opening of a second branch in Durban. The Empangeni branch remains the company’s head office, operating from its own premises at 3 Blesbok Street.

Throughout its history, Paxman Construction has evolved in response to industry demands, diversifying its services while preserving the family values, work ethic, and integrity on which the business was founded. Today, the company continues to grow — maintaining long-standing relationships with clients and insurers through consistent service delivery and trust-based partnerships.

In addition to our construction and maintenance services, Paxman Construction C.C. operates a dedicated home Insurance Division that specialises in insurance-related repairs and reinstatement work. Our insurance division is staffed by experienced administrators and skilled technical teams who understand the urgency and sensitivity involved in insurance-related work. From assessment to final repair, we manage each case with precision and care.

• Valid Tax Clearance PIN.
